UPDATE ON PAY PLAN
There's no truth to the information that our pay plan was disapproved by Malacanang. It is still subject to the review of DBM prior to approval of GMA.
It is imperative that our increase has to go through a tedious process since we are under the Executive Branch of the Government. Further, a Joint Resolution No. 4 of the House of Representative dated June 2009 was issued to this effect requiring all GOCCs and GFIs with separate charter for the approval of the President before effecting any salary increase.
This was triggered by the fact that Presidents and other high ranking officers of GOCCs and GFIs receive salaries higher than the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
According to Ma'am Baby Guevarra, our salary increase is being reviewed by the DBM and it is not true that it was disapproved by Malacanang. The new Head of DBM at present was formerly a Director of Land Bank of the Philippines. LBP management will be attending a meeting with DBM this February relative to our salary increase.
Let us hope for the best!
Pay scale:
PG 1 – 13, actual basic pay plus 10% of existing basic pay or the amount of 1 full step
under pay plan 3 whichever is higher.
PG 14 – 17, actual basic pay plus 5% of existing basic pay or the amount of 1 full step
under pay plan 2 whichever is higher
Note : After providing the minimum increases, the salaries will be slotted in the new pay
plan. Our pay plan is 14 steps, same increment per step. Increment after step 10 is lower
than the increment in the first 10 steps.
